Review: Wing- 1/6 scale Nitro Super Sonico!

Hello everyone! Or to anyone, if anyone reads(LOL).
I've been away recently, midterms and being sick, and being a typical female.
Aside from that, I review the lovely Wing 1/6 Tokonatsu Ver. Cast Off: Sonico!

Yes... cast off.

Definition: Cast Off- Removable parts of a figure. Including: Skirt, Shirt, Pants, etc...

Okay, so here's the rundown.
Character: Super Sonico
Series:SoniAni
Company:WING
Scale: 1/6
Material:PVC.

Frontal View.

Side

Backside... ;)

Side
Overall her outline is appealing. The hair flow is a little too arched, but the individual strands parting at the ends give a natural look.

Face Shot: Sweet Sonico. The eyes are vibrant. I love the addition of eye creases, giving her a "lifeful" expression. Her smile is actually sculpted but does look a little forced. The blushing is a perfect touch to her wide eyes.
Interchangeable face plates. Cute and happy to embarrassed.

Here's a look at the embarrassed one. The eyebrow arch amplifies her expression yet her hair blocks it so you might not see it and it looks like she's disgusted. The mouth again looks a little odd and almost like an old lady with no teeth but well done.

The headphone band is actual metal and removable and movable, so you can shift it side to side.
They're a great cover up for that ugly little faceplate separation. Very much appreciated WING.

Chest area: large of course. She has this "little" cropped top hardly covering a thing. Nipple definition molded into the shirt, revealing that there's no bra(duh, it's Sonico, does she know what a bra is?)

Waist. Proper and proportional definition in the curve sculpt, as well as a gorgeous airbrushed look to her pelvic are, creating the hip bones.

Underwear sculpted as if they're removable. Very clever, The creases added give that movement away. As well as that camel toe, nothing over exaggerated, quaint and sexy. The proper wedgie that girls realistically have. No "moose" knuckle.

This is where I found a flaw in my eyes. We have these bombshell curves and then they lead to skinny legs, not as meaty as the rest of the built, and almost slightly long. I appreciate the knees being defined, making it look as if she is posing in movement.

Side close up of hand sculpt. I love the bent fingers. I noticed her index finger almost has the motion of brushing her hair away from her face, nice little effect since shes the typical "beach time" Sonico. Sea air blowing in the face.

Arm sculpt. Proper bent and proportion. Also showing off her tiny waist leading to the hips.

A better look on how the hair could possibly be a little more "full". Almost looks like spaghetti.

A little view on the "cast offable" option. Now this piece is a little impossible to fasten. I was thrown off that there was no pegs to help fasten but the clothing pieces are a rubber type.

This got me a little. I love the pantie being looped on her finger. A little smoother on the indentation for the motion would of been great, but this is still too clever,

Frontal view

Now to that BACKSIDE.
This gives us a great look at the metallic coat to her hair. Now her hair isn't as "pink" as it usually is. It's like a cotton candy pink. The metallic coat adds that vibrant "beach" hair look.

Lower back sculpt: absolutely gorgeous. Love the arch and the arch shading added, giving her that look as if shes "Strutting her stuff". The panty folds are excellent, each fold folding into her, giving that weggie look, almost as if her butt is "eating" them.

I will say I'm a tad disappointed in the lack of meat on her ass. But this bugs eye view, it shows the lovely curve sculpt and definition.

The base. A metal peg. Extremely sturdy actually because she's huge. The bases design is a little boring and big. Just sand,

And here is the fun: cast offable approach. The leg is removed to get her shorts off.

Two shirt options came. Cropped topped covering hardly anything and uber cropped top covering...nothing, best "clothing" The collar as well is removable and a pain to attach to the shirts.

Now the plot thickens. Other top option.

As you can see, not much coverage. And if you can look past and see the collar, a bit of a pain to attach properly.

No shorts on:

Now lets remove the top in general.

Well. These are quite "full" to say the least. As you can see the outline properly here, they almost just fit so well. Proper sculpting leading down to the breast, giving them a natural sitting placement. Not just perfect circles sitting on her chest with no curve. I almost like how one nipple is almost dented in, I'm sure it was accident but it gives that "No, not all boobs are  identical" feel. Modest nipple color as well, no crazy pink or odd brown. Just a peachy, flesh color.
Now as we digress.... The shirt sleeves are NOT removable, really ruining the fun, but it gives away that her shirt is really the winning piece, either wear it scandalously revealing the good or just wear it.

A view of the shirt pieces left on and boobs.

Side boob action. A good look at that curve I mentioned sloping her boobs.

Overall side look.

Now I'm just perving.

Bugs eye view or "look up at me" now they remind me of little Japanese dumpling's.

Now I can see the overkill with the "Volume" and "Mass". But that's Japan for you: making outrageous sized portions for life.

Closer look at the remaining shirt pieces. Bugs me how thick they are and how they just look like a torn piece. Not a clean look.

Little back side view of the shirt.

Sculpting: 9/10 This rating is just me being selfish and wanting more backside and thicker legs to flow with the rest of the "mass" of her body.
Painting: 10/10 Her paint job is excellent, I found nothing wrong
Posing: 7/10 A little boring, just a arched leg. I don't want her doing a handstand or anything but something a little sassy would of been cute.
Base:7/10 BORING.
Enjoyment: 9/ 10 She's  gorgeous, just pretty big, hard to lug around outside or to the beach and everyone staring like "you pervert."
Final thought: It's cute Sonico, ready for the beach or just never wearing clothes ever, freedom to let that breeze in! I actually got her on AmiAmi's pre-owned section of 5500Yen! Which is a steal for most Sonico figures.  So she was a fun, impulsive buy.

!!!!!ENDING NOTE!!!!!

Recently I read some blind ignorance on someone asking "Why do people like Sonico so much? It's the same thing, bikini and half dressed." "Boobs" "These things easily appeal to these people?" "Boobs in real life are better" Now.... what do you mean "these people."
Okay, I see where some of that branches from but does it really matter? It's aesthetically pleasing to many and to top it off she isn't a "skinny" frame, little more meat for the men or women who prefer that. It's a hobby and something that peaks someones interest, no need to throw remarks saying people are "easily swayed", it's a pretty girl in her underwear, if there's anything else in this world, who cares?< Aside from that joke, She's fun, cute, busty, playful looking, brings a cute little smirk to your face, no need to aim at people's interest because you see it otherwise. Like what you like and let others like what they like. Spewing that ignorance just brings unwanted tension.

Thanks for reading everyone!

Booty Bootlegs

Good evening everyone!

I recently met a young lady who had an issue with receiving a bootleg figure and paying the price of the authentic version with CRAZY shipping cost added as well. Where did she get the figure? How did she not know? Is she stupid?
No, No, and No.

Bootlegs, Bootlegs are everywhere!
Amazon, Ebay, Craigslist, Etsy, Storenvy, and even on actual, accredited websites!
...Yes accredited websites.

How can I avoid falling for this trap?
Let's start it off with pricing:
Ex:
Alter's 1/7 scale Sonico Figure
Original pricing for the original. As you can see, she's not very cheap!

Now.... Let's look at the pricing for another ad for the "Same" figure:

Hmmmm.. $26.98, damn what a deal? But...you're wrong.

How can you tell the difference? Pricing! A scaled figure can be very expensive due to quality, it's rare to find any of them especially if the figures newly released or not even released yet(if the figure hasn't been released and you find it on Ebay...there's something wrong with that picture)...for such a cheap price!
Also, where the seller is located: China.
China is one of the top countries in which manufacturing bootlegs is a big deal and common, so keep an eye out, as well as Hong Kong.

(Not my photo)
Even boxing can be copied to perfection, but as we see here: one has her head piece on, the other doesn't.

Some might ask: "What does it matter if it's bootleg or real, I just like the character?
Thats okay, and no one is forcing you to pay full price, because not everyone is able to afford such a thing, but remember: "You get what you pay for!" Quality is huge in the figure community, especially if you want this figure to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye, mainly your eye! Sometimes you might want a bootleg, to use it as a prop or it's parts, which by all means, go for it!

Quality and Appearance:
Some bootlegs tend to be very close to the original, almost making it impossible to tell the differences. I use sites such as My Figure Collection to help me see the original figure and inform me if theres any bootlegs.
 Ex:
(Not my photo.)
On our left:
Tan skin, glossy looking, blotchy and sloppy paint job, different colors used, smaller looking frame as well. Added gloss tends to make a figure or pvc almost look like hard plastic.

Still not seeing it?

Let's take a look at one of the most infamous bootlegs to date:
(Not my photo)
SADER!
Many of you know Saber and the lovely Arturia Pendragon.
This tragedy has gone viral and many have bought just for fun, but this is an example as to quality and appearance. The main pinpoint is that face. What happened to that gorgeous face?

Now some sellers can be tricky and even use the photo to the left as an advertisement but you really get what's on the left.
How can I prevent that?
To be honest, it's almost impossible, sneaky people are everywhere. If you're unsure of a seller (via Ebay or Amazon, and other listed sites) always read reviews, they can give a great insight from past customers. If the photos for the item are taken first hand and show the item within it's box and it's not just a promo photo, you are possibly in the clear and I say "go for it!" I have bought a few figures off Ebay, so not every seller is on there to rip you off, but there's many!
And if even that doesn't soothe your concern, stick to accredited sites!
But what if I don't want to wait for it to come from a foreign country?
Patience is virtue, waiting is a must at times. But regardless of your location, theres plenty of local "home" sites available, one I use myself: Big Bad Toystore , plenty of figures and they are based in the U.S.

Now this by no means is a "Don't use Amazon or Ebay!" this is just a bootleg mini guide for those who have asked me how to find the differences. I have purchased some of my favorite figures from Ebay sellers and had an amazing experience, I have also finished an entire " Holy Grail" collection by finding each of the dolls on Ebay. This is simply a heads up and keep your eyes open. Bootlegs may be cheap but could break just by you trying to pose it, remember: "You get what you pay for."

Happy shopping everyone!

To be  continued.....
